Generic City Robots

Som eof the scene require more than just the main ste of characters and as such i have created a generic robot that will be used as an 'extra' and will appear in the scene alongside the main characters where necessary. For example i nscene there are two smaller robots that are walking down the street alongside the main character. This helps to add life to the scene and makes the scene not feel lifeless and without character.

Way back in November of 2018, i did a sketch of poissible generic robots, one which looks vaguely like the mascot for the Android Operating system. This is the design that i decided to use for the generic 'extra' robots throughout my scenes.  This robot has a 'walk' cycle where its arms alternate between facing forward and backward to emulate as if it was walking as well as the ball rolling which would allow the robot to move. This generic robot also appears in the bar scene as a group of bar patrons socialising within the bar.

While this robot looks vaguely like the android logo, the robot also takes inspiration from claptrap from bordelands which has small antenna hanging from teh robot's head. The colour scheme was also inspired by claptrap as i quite like the combination of yellow, grey and blue.
